Event 14: Straight & Flush But No Straight-Flush

$1000 + $90 ($10K Cash) Super Satellite

Peter Mylenki (Absecon, NJ)

Peter Mylenki crippled May Siu with the following hand.

May limps UTG and Peter calls in the big blind holding 5♣ 6♣ .

Peter loves seeing a flop of 7 8♣ K♣ but checks since he has half the deck but still needs a card.

May sees the open door and leads out for 2100. Peter pops it to 6100 and May jams all in.

Peter calls and May tables A10.

Turn 4 gives Peter the straight. A club fell on the river ♣ for unnecessary overkill.

A couple hands later May was out.

Mylenki is up to 50,000.

I asked Peter what he does outside of poker and he joked, "I'm either retired or nobody will hire me." Peter is basically free-rolling as he was a Super Satellite ACT 1 winner.

After investing only $110 + $20 Peter won his entire buy-in for today's Event 14. Can Mylenki turn $110 into ten grand? We shall see.

Three table remain as dinner approaches.
