Event 16: Cook Heating Up Early

$2500 + $200 Championship NLH

There's a lot of poker ahead for anyone who makes the money or eventually wins this event, so there's no reason to go crazy during the first level.

Most tables seem to be playing a bit sedately.  After all, it it still Sunday morning and the coffee hasn't quite taken hold.

Adam Cook is one player who isn't relaxing.  On the turn with a board of 9 8 7 3 with two diamonds, Adam (utg+1) fired a bet of 1,850.  His opponent gave it some thought, then called.  River was an offsuit 7, pairing the board.  Adam fired again.

His opponent tossed his cards into the muck, mumbling something about missing 19 outs.  Adam tossed his JT face up on the table (flopped nut straight) and the other player corrected himself "OK,  only 9 outs".
