Event 16: Silverman Finds Gold

$2500 + $200 Championship NLH

Jose Silverman Doubles Up

Jose Silverman traveled all the way from his home in Puerto Rico to play in today's 2011 Borgata Summer Poker Open Championship Event.

His entire tournament was just on the line after a flop of K-4-6 fell.

Opponent in the big blind had Jose covered in chips and decided to jam his entire stack all in.

Silverman, on the button, took half a second then announced, "Call".

Opponent had 10-10 vs. Jose's A-A. An ace on the river caused Jose to stand and let out some emotions. He doubles from 23,000 up to 46,000.

Jose is a painting contractor but he won this hand without any paint cards.

He says hi to his wife and family and in case you were wondering they celebrate Father's Day in Puerto Rico today, just like they do here. Jose Silverman wishes all his friends and family a Happy Father's Day.

Tournament is down to five tables.

Still a lot of game left as we're playing until around midnight.
