Event 18: Joe Liberta - 2nd

$170 + $30 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Joe Liberta - 2nd Place - $16,407

Joe Liberta (Berlin, NJ) was chip leader 95% of the tournament. After doubling thru the same guy who kept re-buying, he had 100,000 on hour then after a sick heater, had 600,000 by 5PM.

After a tough final table and a long heads-up, it looked like it was Joe's tournament.

He beat himself up after calling Adam's flop all in with only an open-ended draw.

Adam hit a top pair ten on the flop and it held.

The hand that really crippled Joe was when Adam jammed in the small blind with 9-7 of diamonds. Joe called with A-J off and hit a Jack on the flop.

But Adam hit runner, runner for the winning straight.

Board ran: 5-J-7-6-8 and Joe lost 10.4 million leaving him with 2.5 million.

Two hands later he shipped with 8-7 and Adam called with 10-3 of clubs.

Our last board of the night ran: J-J-K-5-K. The ten played and Joe has to settle for 2nd.

The poker pro and Borgata regular adds $16,407 to his lifetime earning numbers.
